Dear Perdue

To Whom It May Concern:

Big Box Chicken Dicks

Big Box Chicken Dicks

After learning of your company’s treatment of farmers on Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, I’d like to inform you that Perdue products will no longer be served in our household until your company compensates its farmers with a living wage (which is above minimum wage – as that’s not a living wage – and above any and all poverty lines).

If that raises the price of your product a bit, so be it. Being a good business is more important than being cheap.

Instead of being a soulless corporation that thrives off its lobbyists and sheer size making the products have easy availability, perhaps Perdue could remember the Golden Rule and consider operating the business in a way that is fair, ethical and containing integrity as opposed to being a greedy. It may even get Perdue more customers.

Please consider changing your tune and thinking of your contract farmers as real people, like your brothers and sisters, and treat them as such.

Sincerely,

Rachel L. Arbeit
